Privacy Policy
Anchored In Group ("we," "our," or "us") is a prayer request app for Bible study and small groups. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
What we collect
Phone number. We collect your phone number to verify your identity via a one-time SMS code. We do not share your phone number with other users unless you choose to make it visible (e.g., for direct texting features).
Name. We collect the name you provide during signup to display within your group.
Prayer requests and updates. Any prayer requests, updates, or messages you post are stored and visible to members of your group only.
How we use it
We use your information solely to operate the app — to verify your identity, display your name to your group members, and store your prayer requests. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.
Third-party services
Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure.
Twilio — used to send your one-time SMS verification code. Twilio receives your phone number for this purpose only.
Data visibility
Your prayer requests and updates are visible only to members of your group. Members in other groups cannot see your content. We use row-level security to enforce this at the database level.
Data retention
Your data is retained as long as you are a member of a group. You may contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Children
Anchored In Group is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
