What we collect — and what we don't.

Anchored In Group stores only what's needed to run a shared prayer space. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone outside the services listed below.
What we collect
Phone number. Collected to verify your identity via a one-time SMS code. Not shown to other group members unless you tap "Text" on someone's profile — that opens your own Messages app and is between you and them.
Name and bio. The name and optional bio you set in your profile are visible to members of your group.
Prayer requests and updates. Requests, updates, and replies you post are stored and visible only to members of your group. Members in other groups cannot see your content.
Push notification subscription. If you enable notifications, your browser's push subscription endpoint is stored so we can deliver notifications. It is not shared or used for anything else.
How we use it
Your information is used solely to operate the app — to verify your identity, display your name and requests to group members, and send you notifications when something happens in your group. Nothing more.
Third-party services
Supabase — database, authentication, and row-level security. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure and is protected by row-level security policies that prevent cross-group access.
Twilio — sends your one-time SMS verification code. Twilio receives your phone number for this purpose only.
Anthropic — the "Pray the Word" feature sends your prayer request text to Anthropic's Claude API to generate relevant scripture and a prayer. This text is not stored by Anchored In after the response is returned. See anthropic.com/privacy for Anthropic's practices.
Data visibility
Your requests, updates, and profile are visible only to members of your group. Row-level security is enforced at the database level — not just in the app.
Data retention
Your data is retained as long as you are a member of a group. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@anchoredin.app and we will handle it promptly.
Children
Anchored In Group is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
